This policy explains what data the YourPG app and this website collect, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. YourPG is developed by Alkım Takmaz, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. We do not sell your personal data.
Data We Collect
- Account data: when you sign in with Apple or Google we receive your user ID and the email address and name the provider shares (Apple may give a private relay address).
- Game content: the messages you type, your character and your game state. Saves are kept on your device and, when you are signed in, in your account. To run the game this content is sent to the AI services listed below.
- Purchases: subscription status (Premium or Pro), expiry and purchase history, handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.
- Usage counters: daily message, image and game counts, and for Pro the monthly Claude Sonnet 5.5 allowance, used to enforce plan limits.
- Content reports: if you report AI output, the reported text, the reason you choose, any note you add, the AI model that wrote it and your user ID.
- Diagnostics and analytics: crash reports and app usage events (Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase), and app integrity checks (Firebase App Check) that confirm requests come from the genuine app. These are not linked to your name or email.
- Advertising data: optional rewarded ads are served by Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers, IP-based coarse location and ad interactions. On iOS the advertising identifier (IDFA) is used only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Preferences: language, model choice and art style, stored on your device.
- Your own API keys: if you enter your own OpenRouter key, it is stored only on your device and sent directly to that provider.
AI Processing and Your Consent
YourPG writes your story with AI. Before your first game the app asks for your consent to send your messages, character and game state to third-party AI services. You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings; you will be asked again before your next game. We do not intentionally store your full chat content on our servers beyond your saves, but AI providers process requests under their own policies.
Who We Share Data With
- OpenRouter: routes your game messages to the AI model that writes the game master's replies (for example models from OpenAI, Anthropic and xAI; Pro uses Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 5.5) - openrouter.ai/privacy

- Google Firebase: sign-in, database, cloud functions, app integrity checks, crash reporting and analytics - policies.google.com/privacy

- Google AdMob: optional rewarded ads - policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Fonts: the app and this website load fonts from Google's servers, which may log your IP address.
- GitHub Pages: hosts this website and may log your IP address for security.
How We Use Data
- Provide the game: account, saves, AI replies and images.
- Enforce plan limits and manage subscriptions.
- Keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix crashes.
- Review reported content.
- Show the rewarded ads you choose to watch.
Legal bases: we process data to perform our agreement with you (account, game, subscriptions), with your consent (sending game content to AI services, ad tracking on iOS), and for our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, crash fixing and analytics). You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing that already happened.
International Transfers
Our service providers (Google, OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, RevenueCat, Apple, GitHub) may process your data in the United States and other countries outside your own. Where required, these transfers rely on safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses, and on your explicit consent to AI data sharing.
Retention and Deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your sign-in account, profile, cloud saves, usage counters and content reports, and revokes Sign in with Apple. Local data stays on your device until you delete the app. Purchase records kept by Apple follow Apple's policies. RevenueCat keeps your purchase history under a pseudonymous user ID; email us if you want it deleted. Crash reports and analytics data are kept by Google for a limited period. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription, so cancel it in your App Store settings.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Email us to exercise these rights; we reply within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. You can control ad personalization in your device settings.
Children
YourPG is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above.
